Did you mean:

The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

I just set up a managed VPS, installed WordPress and am trying to install a plugin and I get the message The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

I fixed this in my other account with a php.ini file but it's not working this time. This is what my php.ini file looks like:

upload_max_filesize = 64M
post_max_size = 64M
memory_limit = 400M
file_uploads = On
max_execution_time = 180

The plugin is like 2M. There's no reason I should be having issues uploading a plugin.

Re: The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

Hi, @highprrrr,

Login via WHM.

https://yourhostname.com:2087.

On the left side, You'll see a search box. Search for MULTI PHP.INI Editor.

Choose the basic mode and preferred PHP version, Edit your default configuration.

The above solution only works with Managed VPS with Linux version.
