Changing this: 'Sign up for blog updates! Join my email list to receive updates and information.'

Every GoDaddy blog has this bit on:

 

"SIGN UP FOR BLOG UPDATES! Join my email list to receive updates and information."

 

(Examples:

It might be ok for some people, but for a lot of us it's hitting the wrong note and leaving a poor impression. For example, the exclamation mark is garish. It refers to 'my', whereas many blogs would prefer 'our'. The capitals are just rude. 

 

I get the impression it was written by a developer rather than a copy editor or marketer, and it's pretty tone-deaf, childish, and unprofessional. 

 

I've spoken to GoDaddy over the phone, on whatsapp, and social media, and everyone I speak to is surprised that this can't be changed. They normally go "Oh, yeah, that's not good is it, but don't worry, we can change that." Only to come back a while later and tell me that they've just found out that it actually can't be changed. It's hard-baked into every site. 

 

Please note that this cannot be changed using 'Signup Forms', as most GoDaddy reps initially suggest before they find out that it doesn't work. 

 

As a community, how do we go about getting this improved?

@samshltn - Sorry, I do not. What I can tell you is that our Websites + Marketing team is very open to feedback and constantly adding features and updates to the builder. That being said, any new features or changes have to be weighed against all other possible new features/improvements/fixes. Since an update would be dependent on how this request fits in with all the rest, I wouldn't be able to let you know when or if this change would be made. That will be up to our product team to decide. If I find out anything more, I will let you know.
