Downloading "WP-Content" folder from the server - Managed WP Hosting - Basic Plan

    Dear Team,

I have tried to reach the support team in chat and calls several times but never my issue got resolved.

At last, I spoke with the guy whose name was "Kolle S" and he called himself "Soni". His support was really very pathetic. He doesn't have time to reply to my messages. He kept me awaited till long and didn't provide the solution.

    To explain my issue:
    - I am using Managed Wordpress Hosting with the Basic Plan. Currently, the small and static website has been hosted. I want to take a backup of my entire website and want to download that backup file (archived file) in my local system. There is no way to create an archive of the WP-Content folder. As I check with customer care they told me that you can't make an archive of more than 100 MB. What is logic? I believe it's just an excuse or argument.

Please do the needful and provide me the solution.

    NOTE:
    - Please don't give me a solution like taking a manual backup using SFTP. Because taking backup manually is very time taking and not feasible as it takes an almost infinite time. So, this can not be a solution. I will appreciate another solution.

    Thank you

    I would suggestion using https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/

Updraft will create multiple zip files

You could also install https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-file-manager/ and create the zip archive with that plugin

Respectfully, depending on how much data you have, SFTP maybe the better solution - I've used the plugins above on sites that are up to almost 1GB in size and they do work, however they can timeout and also when you go to restore them you can have issues as well.

You could also go to https://prosites.godaddy.com/ and add the site there and do the backup / download a zip file
