A record with 'Parked' as value in DNS settings

Hello

I own four domains and have found today that an A record with 'Parked' as the value was present in the DNS settings of three of them.

I searched this forum and found this conversation:

https://uk.godaddy.com/community/Managing-Domains/Mysterious-Parked-A-Record-suddenly-appeared/m-p/1...

This is exactly the problem I have.

I have followed the recommendation (to change the password) and I have deleted the three A records.

Was the deletion correct? I only need the confirmation that an A record with 'Parked' is not needed in the DNS settings of an active domain.

Thank you.

Pedro

That is correct - this typically happens when you have a domain which was pointed to  / linked with a GoDaddy service and then deleted that service it adds / adjusts the A record to be "pro-active" so you at least have a landing page vs a domain that looks broken.
