Managing Domains/DNS?

I'm curious how everyone is managing customer domain names and public DNS?? Our current practice is having the customer be the manager of the registrar, but we manage the DNS with our Route 53 account.

I'm not looking to change right away, I'm just curious how other's are doing it.

Personally I do it turnkey where I manage everything for the client - but have the domain in their name - It makes them a bit more "sticky" that way - and if they want to leave as long as they are current I release the domain no questions - it is there domain.  There is also the relationship side of things I have with my clients, most of them don't want to deal with the domain registration
