why do i have this cname record: _domainconnect?

I logged in tonight and had seen this entry in my cname records...

_domainconnect.

Anyone have any ideas as to what this is?   its not resolving to anything on my machines.

more than likely that is for some back-end used to set up your domain. I assume you could delete it. out of curiosity, where is this record pointing to?

please note that, i offer direct support that is in no way associated with GoDaddy's regular support channels; but, for immediate technical support you can contact me at: https://join.skype.com/t3cxhmNCspqu

I too see the same CNAME record in my DNS settings. It is pointing to _domainconnect.gd.domaincontrol.com
Any ideas why it may be here ??

Hi Everyone. The use of _domainconnect is GoDaddy's implementation of the Domain Connect standard. You can find out more about this here. Hope that helps.
