SSL validation file upload

So I have a basic Managed Wordpress website on Godaddy. And yesterday I purchased an SSL certificate, it made me go through the process, and now I am stuck. It says I need to download a verification file (which I did) and upload it to /.well-known/pki-validation/ public directory, which I cannot find. I looked it on google, and everyone is talking about cPanel, which I dont have, or via Filezilla SFTP. I tried Filezilla and I found a directory of sorts but I cannot open the /root folder giving me "permission denied". Now I do not know where to put this verification file. PLEASE HELP?

On Managed WordPress I recommend using the DNS verification.

That being said I would actually get on with GoDaddy support either via Chat or Phone and get a refund for the SSL Certificate and upgrade to the Ultimate package.

It is about the same price difference as purchasing the SSL, but you get the benefit of having a staging site available and additional storage for your site.
